ASTARTE Festival Vol. 1 To Honor Memory Of Maria "Tristessa" Kolokouri

In August 2014, Maria "Tristessa" Kolokouri, leader of Athens-based all-female black metal band Astarte, lost her battle against leukemia. Paying tribute to Tristessa, Astarte Festival Vol. 1 has been schedule for June 20th at Kyttaro Live Club / Kyttapo in Athens, Greece.
Acts scheduled to appear include:

Maria's husband Nicolas Maiis states: “I would like to thank all the bands and all those who wanted to participate in the fest, we MUST have a 3-day fest to (include) over 50 bands that asked to play, hopefully next year we will try for more days. Maria would feel proud for the love you show for her and I am feeling honoured about that. June 20th will be a day only for Maria, lets enjoy all together in her memory. I am very lucky that I have so much support from you for my family from the beginning till now, I will never forget that.”
