ATHORN Reveal Details For Upcoming Necropolis Concept Album; Teaser Video Streaming

Germany’s Athorn will release their new melodic death metal concept album, Necropolis, on September 16th via Dr. Music Records.
The longplayer with 11 songs immediately conveys to the listener a detailed illustration of what would happen if a meteorite suddenly hit our planet and turned humankind into a nation of zombies. The end of human civilization causes a complete chaos on the planet and puts it into an apocalyptic state. In order to portray this exact wasteland scenario more precisely, the members of Athorn have thrown pretty much every style between melodic death and power metal into their seething songwriting pot and created the post-apocalyptic ruined city “Necropolis“ as a fantastic result.
The atmospheric artwork, created by multi-talent and vocalist Carsten Frank, shows a sea of skulls in front of a desolate ghost town in the distance and provides the concept of the album with a remarkably intense expression. You can practically watch the goosebumps rise on your skin while viewing the cover for the first time. But see for yourselves!
