BangerTV, the all-metal YouTube channel from Banger Films, continues its weekly metal debate show April 28th with Lock Horns: Thrash Metal. Who invented this style? Who are the most essential classic bands? Who is carrying the torch of thrash metal today? Where do you stand on the big three of Teutonic Thrash (Sodom, Kreator, Destruction)? Pantera?!
They invite metal fans around the world to join us live and have their say about all this and more. The episode will be co-hosted by Daniel Dekay, lead guitarist for Toronto metallians Diemonds (ex-Agressor). Catch the live stream tomorrow on 8 PM on YouTube>.
Lock Horns is a weekly show hosted by documentary filmmaker Sam Dunn debating the infamous Heavy Metal Family Tree made for Banger Film's 2005 documentary Metal: A Headbanger's Journey and seen in the TV series Metal Evolution. The show is shot at the Banger Bar in Toronto and is streamed live — fan comments help determine which bands stay, which bands go, and, most importantly, which new bands are added.
Previous episodes of Lock Horns have featured Dan Briggs of Between the Buried And Me debating Prog, Liam Cormier of Cancer Bats talking Metalcore, Priya Panda of Diemonds debating Glam Metal, Nick Sewell from Biblical on Doom Metal, and expert journalists from across the metal spectrum.
