January 20, 2016, 8 years ago
BBC Four will premier The Most Dangerous Band In The World: The Story Of Guns N’ Roses on February 5 at 10 PM.
Award-winning director Jon Brewer (B.B. King: The Life Of Riley and Nat King Cole: Afraid Of The Dark) tells the story of The Most Dangerous Band In The World and how they came from playing bars on the Sunset Strip in Los Angeles to stadiums across the world. The explosive rise of one of the most notorious bands of our times – it's a story of sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll in excess. The film has been painstakingly compiled from a host of exclusive, never-before-heard interviews, and the early footage of Guns fan and friend Marc Canter.
The film features exclusive interviews with Steven Adler, Marc Canter (childhood friend of Slash), Vicky Hamilton (former manager of the band), Slash, Mario Maglieri (owner of The Rainbow and Whiskey A Go Go), Michael Monroe (Hanoi Rocks), Matt Sorum, Tom Zutat (A&R Executive who discovered and signed the band), and also exclusive live footage from Marc Canter, who documented the early days of Guns N’ Roses.
Guns N’ Roses - featuring the reunited Axl Rose, Slash and Duff McKagan - are scheduled to be one of the first acts to play the new T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, set to open April 6th. The band have confirmed two shows, on April 8th and 9th.
Tickets for the shows will become available to the public starting this Saturday, January 23rd, but Nightrain members have an exclusive first shot at tickets and VIP packages starting today. Info on becoming a Nightrain member here.
