The Classic Metal Show recently caught up with Benedictum vocalist Veronica Freeman to discuss her forthcoming solo album, Now Or Never, being issued under the moniker The V, her upcoming shows with The Rods, and working as a professional musician.
American ‘80s heavy metal power trio The Rods recently announced a string of dates in the United States and Europe. The shows will feature a guest performance from Benedictum vocalist Veronica “The V” Freeman on select dates. On April 24th they played in Auburn, New York Suzy’s Tavern with Freeman hitting the stage at the end of the night for a set of Dio covers. Check out the video below:
Freeman: "Boy, did these guys make me work hard, but damn they fed me well. Can't you tell?! Was an honor to be on that stage with such a legendary band!
Have to admit I still missed my Pete Wells (Benedictum) to aggravate me (but don't tell him, it will encourage him to be even more obnoxious when I see him). Garry Bordonaro seemed to be quite obnoxious enough, hmmm as if he and Pete Wells exchanged notes on terrorizing the V before hand.. just sayin'..."
The Rods' tour schedule is now as follows:
May
25 – Lubeck, Germany – Sounds (with The V)
28 – Tyrolen, Sweden – Muskelrock Festival (with The V)
June
20 – Cortland, NY – Dio Day
The Rods will be on the road promoting their latest independently released album Vengeance.
