BLACK CROWN INITIATE Enter The Studio; New Album Due In Late Spring

Reading, PA-based progressive death/doom metal band, Black Crown Initiate, have just entered the studio to start recording the follow-up to their debut release, Wreckage Of Stars. The sophomore effort, yet to be titled, will be released in late spring via eOne Music. The band is going to incorporate from the mountains of Lancaster, PA, Carson Slavak (August Burns Red, Texas In July) and Grant McFarland of Atrium Audio to engineer and mix these new sessions.

Black Crown Initiate are building on their success of WreckageOof Stars in a multi-dimensional way, fusing progressive, death and doom in a seamless way. This new record will bridge the gap between their self-released EP Song Of The Crippled Bull and the brutal beatdown of Wreckage Of Stars.

“This is the best album we've done by far. We've grown a great deal as writers, players, and people in general. As a result, this is our most focused, dynamic, and emotional outing to date. The past year has been quite a trying one in a number of ways, and this new recording is a very fitting representation of that”, states Andy Thomas the lead guitarist of the band.

“We hope to show the world our true capacity; we believe this album to be beautifully dynamic, emotionally crushing and the finest example yet of what Black Crown Initiate has to offer. It is our collective, still-beating heart torn out and put on display for all to witness”, adds James Dorton, the band’s vocalist.

Black Crown Initiate have been clocking the mileage on the road with over 200 performances under their belt in 2015. They have toured with Behemoth, Crowbar, The Faceless, 1349, Goatwhore, Decide and Cattle Decapitation. Look for the band to hit the road in April in support of their newest release.
