Black Crown Initiate have debuted a music video for their latest single, "The Fractured One", off their new album, The Wreckage Of Stars. Directed by Jess Orsburn of Toaster In The Tub Studios, the new video is the follow-up to the "Withering Waves" music video released last month.

Every once in a while there comes along an album either so brutal it blasts your face off, or so delicious it delights and tickles the ears. Even rarer is an album that manages to seamlessly combine the two, melding gorgeous musicianship with awe-inspiring power. Most bands might achieve this once or twice in their career; so for a band to achieve this on the debut is an impressive feat, and one which demands to be noticed.

The Wreckage Of Stars, the first LP US prog metal stars Black Crown Initiate is such a debut. Perhaps the strongest new album from the strongest new outfit you shall hear all year, The Wreckage Of Stars is the next step in the whirlwind musical journey of the Pennsylvanian band in their short two-year history.

The Wreckage Of Stars is at times devastatingly heavy, combining thunderous percussion with nightmarishly fast and fierce guitar work and black-metal inspired vocals. Look further and a listener will hear moments of brilliance and beauty, from the stunning bass solo on the album’s opener “Great Mistake” to the Opeth-reminiscent opening and clean vocals of “Malignant”.
