New Damage Records has announced the worldwide signing of Edmonton-based stoner rock trio Black Mastiff. The label will release the band’s latest self-titled EP on October 21st. Produced by the legendary John Garcia (Kyuss, Vista Chino, Slo Burn) and Black Mastiff, the EP features four new songs, including the lead single “Leave It On The Floor”.
Known for their thick grooves, tasteful leads, and soothing melodies, Black Mastiff is comprised of musical veterans Bobby Yiannakoulias (Headband, Gasshole), Alan Harding (Thirty Nights Of Violence, Passenger Action) and Clay Shea (Choke, Passenger Action). Before coming together in 2010, the trio had already racked up 35 years of touring and playing experience. Since their debut, the band has released an EP, a full-length album titled Pyramids, and has had their track "Rolling Stoned" covered by John Garcia on his 2014 eponymous solo record. Having just wrapped up dates with Red Fang, Black Mastiff will be heading on tour later this month with prominent Alberta hard rock band The Smalls.
