BLACK SABBATH Frontman OZZY OSBOURNE - “Every Time I Reach Out To BILL WARD I Get Yelled At For Something”
August 30, 2016, 8 years ago
Black Sabbath will play their final show ever when they conclude The End tour in Birmingham, England next February. In a new interview with Rolling Stone, frontman Ozzy Osbourne discusses the tour, his TV career, and life after Sabbath. An excerpt follows:
Rolling Stone: The last-ever Black Sabbath show will be in Birmingham in February. Does that make you feel sad at all? That's it forever.
Ozzy: “Not really. Right now I'm having a blast. I suppose I may have a different head on when we do the last show. I'm sad that Bill [Ward, Black Sabbath's original drummer] never came through.”
Rolling Stone: You and he shared some strong words in the press after he claimed he wasn't offered a fair contract for the reunion. Will you be asking him to play the last show?
Ozzy: “I don't know. Every time I reach out to Bill I get yelled at for something. If something can be worked out, great. Tommy [Clufetos, Black Sabbath's touring drummer] is doing a great job.”
