BLACK SABBATH - Tony Iommi To Remix Forbidden Album

Black Sabbath guitar legend Tony Iommi plans to remix the band’s 1995 album, Forbidden, which celebrates its 20th anniversary on June 20th. The lukewarmly received opus was the last to feature singer Tony Martin, along with drummer Cozy Powell, bassist Neil Murray and keyboardist Geoff Nicholls.

In a Facebook post, Iommi writes, “Joe Siegler (Black-sabbath.com webmaster) reminded me that June is the 20th anniversary of Forbidden. I really like the album, but I was never happy with the overall sound, so I’m going to remix it before it comes out again. Can’t say when, too much going on right now.”

Forbidden's opening track, "The Illusion Of Power", features Body Count’s Ice-T, while guitarist a fellow band member Ernie C also produced, recorded, and mixed the album.
