BORN OF FIRE Remakes "Carry On Wayward Son" By KANSAS
May 2, 2016, 8 years ago
Born Of Fire will pay homage to Kansas with their next release, says band manager Steve Dorssom. The group is currently putting the finishing touches on a tribute cover / remake of Kansas' 1976 classic "Carry On Wayward Son", along with an all new music video to support it. The group's latest release is promised to showcase each member's individual talent as seasoned veterans of metal at the same time staying true to the classic edge of the song.
Band manager / percussionist Steve Dorssom has roots in Kansas, and the group will be paying homage both to the legendary band and the state with their latest release. Kansas was on the bleeding edge of the genre during its era, so bold and experimental in their music that their sound was essentially prog-rock. Born Of Fire channels this in their music, unflinchingly exploring new ground in the genre.
The music video that's set to be unveiled at the same time as the track's release will feature a one of a kind style of visual artistry that's distinctly modern, while simultaneously possessing a throwback vibe. Best of all, BoF's tribute to "Carry On Wayward Son" will be available for free to fans at the band's official website, BornOfFireUSA.com.
Manager Steve Dorssom promises this latest news is only the tip of the iceberg, and that the band is already in the preliminary stages of writing music for a brand new album. Fans should expect to hear even bigger news from BoF in the very near future.
