Britain's REIGN OF FURY Reveal First Details For Upcoming Sophomore Album

West Midlands, UK-based old school thrashers, Reign Of Fury, have announced that their follow-up to 2012’s World Detonation will be released on February 27th. Titled, Death Be Thy Shepherd, the band have promised a heavier offering showcasing their development as a band through extensive touring over the last two years.

The band said: "The album takes off where World Detonation finished and brings a much more aggressive edge to our sound. Our experiences, gigs, and rehearsals over the last two years seem to have naturally added a faster backbone to a lot of the music, and the band have pushed themselves to their limits from a technical point of view… the result is still 100% Reign of Fury, but this time there’s a lot more Fury! We think there may be one or too unexpected turns on this album, and we’re super excited about taking these tunes out on the road."

Reign Of Fury are known for their creative artwork and visuals. The band went on to say this about the new albums art direction: “We’ve gone back to our regular artist, and part of the Reign Of Fury family, Matt Dixon. Our manager Andy is also our creative director and he and Ed (lead guitar) worked very closely to develop a cover that stays true to our love for old school metal albums. We like to provoke a reaction, but in true metal traditions rather than high brow concept art. The title Death Be Thy Shepherd is probably enough explanation as to what’s going on! One very cool addition to the cover is that it also features four of our fans who pledged on a Kickstarter campaign to get their faces painted into our album art!”

Recorded at Abatis Studios in Warwick, the album will once again utilise the same team with production by Jon Priestley and Dave Cleaves, and mastering in Belgium by Nicolas Decléve.

The album will launch on CD with Moshtunage, with a special edition vinyl release to follow.
