BUTCHER BABIES Score Highest Billboard Top 200 Debut Of Their Career; Huge Increase In First Week Sales

Butcher Babies released their sophomore full-length album, Take It Like A Man, on August 21st via Century Media. The band have fought relentlessly to defy the odds and prove all doubters and haters wrong. With their new offering they have just exactly that and then some. The disc has strongly debuted at #76 on the Billboard Top 200 charts with 6985 units scanned, which is a 210% increase from the first week sales of their debut effort.

Chart debuts:

#36 - Top Current Album
#76 - Billboard Top 200
#7 - Hard Music
#13 - Rock
#5 - Independent

The album was produced by Logan Mader (Five Finger Death Punch, Gojira). Order Take It Like A Man in North America here, or in Europe/UK here.

Heidi Shepherd (vocals) states: "Over the past 6 years, since creating Butcher Babies, my life has changed immensely. ALL of our lives have changed more than we could have ever imagined. We each sacrificed everything to follow what we truly believed in. Between houses, relationships, jobs, family, etc. We put it all on the table to follow our dreams. It’s safe to say that during those years we have grown considerably, not only as people, but as a tight knit machine. After years of constant touring and our intense hard work, I’m proud to say that we have become a force to be reckoned with. Seeing the faces our BB fans in the crowds have made every single moment 100% worth it. They drive us to be the best songwriters, performers and people that we can be.

"After a show, one of the biggest compliments to me is someone who has either never seen us live or never heard of us till that particular moment, praising how intense and great the live show was. These, being people who wouldn’t even know the music, are drawn to the energy. This is something I hope to bring back to the beauty of live music. Where it’s not about what you look like, where you’re from, what you do for a living, your race, etc.. It’s for the love of the pit, the live show, the music, the metal. Our live show speaks for itself. It’s not just a concert, it’s a raw, energetic, riot instigating SHOW! We can’t wait to bring that show and Take It Like A Man to fans around the United States and Canada for the remainder of the year. Living up 2015 to its fullest!"

Henry Flury (guitars) further adds: "It seems like yesterday that we stepped into that practice room and began making music. I don't think that fire has died down one bit. Now with a wonderful team surrounding us we get to take all that creative energy to the masses and do what we do best."

In place of a standard album stream the band went and shot 11 music videos, back to back to back. One performance video for each track. Now instead of boring static images or just audio, they have added a visual competent that gives fans and new listeners a peek into the style, sounds and performance chops. It’s fast-paced, action-packed and in-your-fucking face all out metallic assault. Check it out below.
