November 9, 2016, 8 years ago
From the depths of the Quebec, Canada underground comes metallic extremists Phosphorus, who are back with their aptly-titled sophomore effort, Dévastation. Early reviews of the album are incredibly promising, and point to a band who are quickly gaining ground and the realm of blackened death metal.
"With already almost 10 years of activity under their belt, it is important to mention that Phosphorus now have a sound of their own, which has matured to achieve what we hear on this EP. I suggest you get this release, as well as the previous." - Ondes Chocs
Dévastation is now available via the group’s Bandcamp page. A full EP stream can be found below.

Nicolas Gagné and Pierre-Luc Blanchet founded Phosphorus in Quebec City, Canada. In 2007, Guillaume Lévesque joined the band. In summer of 2008, two new members arrived: Stanislav Stefanovski and Yvan Létourneau.
Since then the band has recorded one full-length (Assassinat, 2014), a single (“Cri de la Lumière”, 2010) and two demos (Demos 2009, 2010). Dévastation is the band’s first EP, and by far the recording that captures most the raw energy that they channel into their music.
Lineup:
Pierre-Luc Blanchet - Vocals
Stanislav Stefanovski - Guitar
Guillaume Lévesque - Guitar
Nicolas Gagné - Drums
Yvan Létourneau - Bass
