Presented by Metal For Nepal Boston and Grayskull Booking, Metal For Nepal II is the follow-up to the original concert from June 20th 2015 that raised donations and awareness of the plight of Nepal and its people following the devastating 7.8 earthquake of April 25th, 2015, and subsequent earthquakes that have devastated their nation. This year's event supports The American Nepal Medical Foundation. You can read about their mission on their website here.

Biijay Acharya, M.D., a board member of ANMF, has commented on the plight of Nepal since the events of last spring, and the impact of Metal for Nepal II:

“Since the massive earthquake rocked the tiny country of Nepal on April 2015, there has been an outpouring of support and funding across the world for rebuilding and reconstruction. America Nepal Medical Foundation (ANMF) is a 501(c)3 registered non-profit charity working in Nepal over last 2 decades to improve the lives of local Nepali people by investing in healthcare project training of healthcare professionals.

After the earthquake ANMF has been at the forefront of the relief and reconstruction efforts by providing immediate support to public hospitals and partnering with the government of Nepal to rebuild more than a dozen Health Posts. These health post provide crucial and necessary healthcare needs for a population of approximately 1000 – 2000 villagers. Each center has both outpatient & inpatient areas with a safe birthing center powered by solar electric system.

Metal for Nepal 2 will help support the installation of a solar power system in these health posts.”
