CARMINE & VINNY APPICE's Drum Wars Coming To Los Angeles And Las Vegas - "This Is Not A Drum Clinic, Not A Big Drum Solo"

Music fans on the west coast: man your battle stations! Drum Wars is coming to Los Angeles and Las Vegas.

Spearheaded by music superstars Carmine and Vinnie Appice, the show will land at The Whiskey in LA on July 16th and Vamp’d in Las Vegas on July 18th. The show features Carmine and Vinny Appice in concert and with a barrage of percussive interplays between the two drum brothers, with music from all the bands that have been part of that list includes Ozzy Osbourne, Black Sabbath, DIO, Rod Stewart, Blue Murder, John Lennon among others.

“Drum Wars is NOT a big drum solo; it is a showcase of the best hard rock and metal music Vinny and I have been involved with throughout our careers,” says Carmine Appice. "This is not a drum clinic, it’s a full blown concert. The band is incredibly versatile and gives us the ability to offer an amazing array of rockin’ songs.”

In addition to the Appice brothers, Drum Wars features Jim Crean on vocals, Phil Soussan (ex-Ozzy Osbourne) on bass, and T-Bone Anderson (Gov’t Mule/ Planet of Abts).  Drum Wars recently sold out at Tupelo Hall and has seen large crowds elsewhere.

Both Carmine and Vinnie have a long history of success as drummers. Carmine was a founding member of Vanilla Fudge, Cactus, and King Kobra, and has long been acclaimed as one of the greatest rock drummers of all time. In 1972, he formed BBA with guitarist Jeff Beck and bassist Tim Bogart. After that group, he was asked to join The Rod Stewart Band, where he stayed for many years, and co-wrote one Stewart’s biggest hits, “Do Ya Think I’m Sexy” and "Young Turks". In addition to his continued touring with Vanilla Fudge, Cactus and his own band, Appice remains one of the most in-demand session drummers on the scene.

Vinnie Appice, like his older brother Carmine, has also become a much in-demand drummer on the contemporary rock scene. He was a member of Black Sabbath, Dio and Heaven & Hell. He has also performed with Rick Derringer and most recently, Last In Line with the original Dio band .

Tickets for Drum Wars at The Whisky in Los Angeles on July 16th can be purchased at this location and for the July 18th show at Vamp’d in Las Vegas here.
