CHILDREN OF BODOM Frontman ALEXI LAIHO Selects Players For 100 Guitars From Hel Performance; Audition Clips Available

Children Of Bodom frontman Alexi Laiho is turning the Senate Square in Helsinki, Finland into a metal arena. He is composing a commissioned song for the Helsinki Festival, and invited 100 electric guitarists to join him in performing it on the big stage. The guitarists have now been chosen, and you can watch their auditions (as well as the auditions that didn’t make the cut) at this location
In an exclusive video interview with Helsingin Sanomat, Laiho goes through the hundreds of 100 Guitars From Hel audition videos. The video is in Finnish with English subtitles. Check it out here.

According to an update, there will be a core band backing up Laiho for the August 14th performance featuring the following musicians:
