Guitarist Chris Caffery (Savatage, Doctor Butcher, Trans-Siberian Orchestra) has posted the following update for Doctor Butcher fans:
Organizers for the Wacken Open Air have confirmed that Savatage will reunite for the festival next year, and excluisve one-off reunion show for Europe. Caffery checked in with the following:
"I am extremely happy to make this post! Our friends at the Wacken festival announced that Savatage will be finally playing again! Wacken 2015! Both Savatage and the Trans-Siberian Orchestra will make an appearance. Savatage will close the festival that night following TSO's first ever European festival appearance. I have been waiting for them to announce this for a few weeks. It was hard to keep it a secret! Wacken Open Air 2015 will take place July 30th - August 1st in Wacken, Germany.
Acts confirmed for next year's edition of this legendary yearly event include: Trans-Siberian Orchestra (exclusive European show), Savatage (exclusive European show), Running Wild, In Flames, In Extremo, U.D.O. (orchestra show), Sabaton, Amorphis (special Tales From The Thousand Lakes show), Death Angel, Powerwolf, Ensiferum, Kataklysm, Cannibal Corpse, Sepultura, Thyrfing.
