UK-based black metal heathens Cradle Of Filth are due to deliver their new album, Hammer Of The Witches, to Nuclear Blast today (Monday, April 20th) three days before the band jet off to play Pulp Summer Slam 15 in The Philippines. Frontman Dani Filth, who is overseeing the mix by Scott Atkins at Grindstone studios in Suffolk has checked in with an update:
"The album, bug-bear of four months straight working here under the assistant therionship of Mr. Atkins is enough to drive any sane man to mental ruin....Sorry, digressed.
The album is sounding absolutely brutal. Proper old skool atmospheric Cradle necking a sleeker improved nightmare form. This is going to blow a fair few precocious detractors away for f**king sure! Yesterday we had a visit here from Metal Hammer Germany who were suitably face-melted by the tracks we played them as part of their studio report.
Anyhoo, now back to our fifteen hour long slogs before the hammer comes smashing down on us finishing the final mix at all.
Bring on The Philippines, the chiller in Manila!"
