D.M.K. Featuring SCOTTY DUNBAR Release “Good Times” Single; Mastered By MARK SLAUGHTER

D.M.K., the hard rock group that consists of vocalist Scotty Dunbar, guitarist Ted Merrill, drummer Brian Karl and bassist  Percy Trayanov, have released a new single, "Good Times". The new single was recorded at Mixed Emotions Studio in Middleton, Massachusetts, and was mixed by Kenny Lewis and mastered by Mark Slaughter of the multi-platinum rock group Slaughter.

“Good Times” is available to purchase via iTunes, or the Amazon widget below.

D.M.K. formed in late 2014. The four members all hail from three different states (Massachusetts, Maryland & New York) Scotty, Ted, Brian and Percy met each other out on the road when their previous bands had shared bills. A friendship was formed among the four and D.M.K. was born soon after.

On March 18th, 2015 the group released their debut EP entitled 3. The EP’s first single, "The Fire That Won't Go Out”, has a bit of a back story to it. Scotty Dunbar states: “As some people may or may not be aware, I am a survivor of The Station Night Club Fire, which occurred on February 20th, 2003. I was in attendance that night along with my two buddies Derek Gray and Eugene “Gino” Avilez to see the band Great White. My two friends perished in the fire along with 98 other innocent lives. I wrote the lyrics in regards to my recovery, acceptance and rising above such a tragic situation as the fire. So many of us go through dark valleys in life, and I think that most people will be able to relate to the lyrics of this particular song."

In March of 2015, “The Fire That Won't Go Out” charted at #5 on Amazon's Top 100 Hot New Releases Chart in the category: Hard Rock & Metal #38 on Amazon's Top 100 Best Sellers In Songs Chart in the category: Hard Rock & Metal.

D.M.K. celebrated the release of 3 on April 2nd, 2015 by performing to a very enthusiastic crowd at the world famous Whisky A Go Go in Hollywood, CA. The band spent the vast majority of 2015 by performing shows. The group headlined and also opened for notable recording artists such as Bret Michaels, Michael Sweet of Stryper, Charm City Devils, Trixter, SteelHeart, Eric Martin of Mr.Big, Jack Russell's Great White and Mike Tramp of White Lion.

In the early part of the summer of 2015 and in between gigs the band once again returned to the recording studio. D.M.K. recorded a song titled "Tears In The City" which was written by Jerry Dixon of the multi-platinum rock group Warrant. "Tears In The City" was mixed by Kenny Lewis and was mastered by Pete Evick (lead guitarist and musical director of the Bret Michaels Band). Upon the singles release "Tears In The City" hit the charts in the following categories: #10 on Amazon's Top 100 New Releases Chart in the category Hard Rock & Metal and #37 on Amazon's Top 100 Best Sellers Chart in the category: Hard Rock & Metal.
