It was reported this past summer that Danzig was going to make an appearance on the IFC sketch-comedy show Portlandia.
A glimpse of his cameo can be seen in the teaser trailer for the new season of the show, which premiers on January 21. Check out the trailer on YouTube.
On October 30th, Glenn Danzig joined Rob Zombie on stage at the Hard Rock Hotel Casino in Las Vegas, NV. The duo pounded out the Misfits classics "Vampira" and "Horror Business". Fan-filmed video is available below:
Although it's been hinted at for quite some time, Glenn Danzig has gone on record stating that he will retire from touring after completing his current North American dates with Superjoint.
Danzig gave the news straight to Graham 'Gruhamed' Hartmann of Loudwire during an interview filmed yesterday (October 21st) before his band’s show at the PlayStation Theater in New York City’s Times Square. When asked how much time he thinks he’s got left on the road, Danzig replied that this very tour would be his last. “I think this is going to be it,” says Danzig. “I’ll do some shows here or there, but I don’t think I’m going to tour anymore.”
“We might do some Danzig Legacy things, but they’ll be very intimate,” Danzig explains. “Same thing if I do the Danzig Sings Elvis record, I want it to be more intimate where people can sit down and just watch the show… I know there are a couple of plans to go overseas and do some things there, but it will probably just be festivals.”
