Former Slayer and current Philm drummer Dave Lombardo is working on the score for the upcoming film, Insidious: Chapter 3, with composer Joseph Bishara.

Lombardo posted the photo below with the comment: "Adding some sinister drums to Insidious 3 today with composer Joseph Bishara."

 

 

According to Film Music Reporter, Joseph Bishara has been tapped to score the upcoming horror prequel Insidious: Chapter 3. The film marks the directorial debut of writer/actor Leigh Whannell (Saw) who scripted the previous two movies in the series.

The movie stars Dermot Mulroney, Stefanie Scott, Lin Shaye, Steve Coulter, Angus Sampson, Hayley Kiyoko, Ashton Moio, as well as Whannell himself. The film is set before the haunting of the Lambert family and reveals how Elise Rainier reluctantly agrees to use her ability to contact the dead in order to help a teenage girl who has been targeted by a dangerous supernatural entity.

James Wan (The Conjuring, Furious 7) who directed the first two installments is producing the project with Jason Blum (Whiplash, The Purge) for Blumhouse Productions and Oren Peli (Paranormal Activity). Bishara has scored the previous two movies for the franchise and also collaborated with Wan on The Conjuring and this year’s Annabelle. Insidious: Chapter 3 is set to be released on June 5, 2015 by Focus Features.

Dave Lombardo will unveil an art collection, Built From Rhythm, on November 21st.
