The Stadium Tour featuring Def Leppard and Mötley Crüe, with Poison and Joan Jett & The Blackhearts, will hit select cities in the US next summer, where each band will bring their electrifying stage shows while promising to perform their stadium sized anthems.

While some fans are up in arms and feel cheated that Mötley Crüe tore up their 2014 "cessation of touring" contract, Def Leppard singer Joe Elliott comes to their defence in a new interview with Rolling Stone.

Asked if he though it was wrong of Mötley Crüe to go back on that contract, Joe answers, "No. This is not a divorce where you’re cheating on your wife. That, to me, would be wrong. If the president of a country or the ruling government of a democracy said one thing and then did another, that’s wrong, because it’s real and affects people’s lives. This is rock & roll. Lighten up. It’s four guys that had enough of each other for a while and after five years, they’ve fallen back in love again. Fucking get on with it. I’m happy for them. It’s great for them - and us as well."

With all of the big bands and artists together on the same tour, Rolling Stone asked Joe if they'd be doing a super jam at the end of the night with everyone, to which he replied, "No. No. No. No. Never happening. Didn’t happen with KISS. Didn’t happen with Journey. Won’t happen with Crüe."
