Metal Wani Editor In Chief Owais 'Vitek' Nabi recently had a chat with Destruction bassist/singer Schmier.
Schmier discusses the upcoming studio album Under Attack, songwriting approach, musical direction, internet trolls and hatred among metalheads. He also talks about using multiple studios, 3-year songwriting cycle, drummer Vaaver's influences and collection of riffs with lead guitarist Mike Sifringer.
Schmier also throws light on why rock n roll is dead, bands using live samples on stage, his opinion on Axl Rose joining AC/DC and why Accept’s Mark Tornillo is the perfect fit for AC/DC. Listen below:

Comments Schemer: "I had the vision of the exploding earth with the Destruction skull as continents before we even had the title. Never has the earth and every individual been so Under Attack: whether it’s environmental issues, wars or politics and media madness, we just destroy everything that we love! The cover brings together the classical concepts of the band’s history and fits in well with the discography… but unfortunately it also represents the current state of the world today!"
