Devin Townsend, the mastermind behind acts Strapping Young Lad, Ocean Machine and Punky Brüster, recently posted the following message:
"Squid Squiderson, bassist on Punky Brüster and Ocean Machine, could use a little help. He's been battling MS (Multiple Sclerosis) for a while now and things are getting a little tough. Please, help if you can, even if it is just sharing this post and link..."
A benefit show for Squiderson took place on February 17th in Vancouver, BC at The Fox Cabaret. Townsend performed an acoustic set on the night, fan filmed video is available below.
Squiderson has posted the following update on the GoFundMe page:
"So unbelievably grateful to all of you this changes everything. I've been told there are still some people who wanted to kick into the kitty so after some deliberation it was decided it to be wise to leave this up until the end of February. Hope this doesn't seem greedy it is not my intent. Once again you all have changed my life and I truly thank you from the bottom of my heart."
