Metal Wani's editor-in-chief Owais 'Vitek' Nabi recently spoke with Devin Townsend. In the clip below they discuss the recently released DVD, Ocean Machine – Live At The Ancient Roman Theatre, Plovdiv, the thought process behind selecting the venue, challenges and performance. Further, they talk about the state Devin is in with four new albums written with different styles, each album having prog, melodic, commercial and avant garde sound respectively. He also talks about the importance of fans and why he thinks about them while writing new music.
On September 22nd, 2017, Devin Townsend Project played a special show at the Ancient Roman Theatre in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, celebrating the 20th anniversary of the landmark Ocean Machine album in full, as well as a set of fan-requested tracks alongside the Orchestra of Plovdiv State Opera.
