The 2015 Juno Awards (the Canadian equivalent of America's Grammy Awards) took place on March 14th in Hamilton, Ontario at FirstOntario Centre. The Metal/Hard Music Album Of The Year nominees were as follows:
Kataklysm - Waiting For The End To Come
Devin Townsend Project - Z²
Skull Fist - Chasing The Dream
Shooting Guns - Brotherhood Of The Ram
Single Mothers - Negative Qualities
The Devin Townsend Project took home the Juno this year. Currently on the road with DTP, he issued the following statement:
Drummer Ryan Van Poederooyen also chimed in:
"So, the DTP won a Juno for album of the year with Z²! Third time lucky, as we were nominated twice before and didn't win. A very cool achievement in the Canadian Music Industry. Very proud of this award and grateful to be a part of earning it!"On March 5th the Devin Townsend Project kicked off their European headline tour at La Cigale in Paris, France.
