DEVIN TOWNSEND PROJECT Drummer RYAN VAN POEDEROOYEN Posts "March Of The Poozers" Drum Cam Footage From Heavy Montreal 2015

Devin Townsend Project drummer Ryan van Poederooyen has checked in with the following update:

"An 'unlisted' drum cam video I've never officially made public on YouTube yet. This is the DTP playing Heavy Montreal Festival last year. That festival was amazing. Got to see a bunch of friends and saw Faith No More and Gojira kill it live the same day as us! The song in this video is 'March of the Poozers' from the Z2 record. Nothing fancy, just a solid groove with a couple tasty fills.... this song is all about letting the crowd groove and move to it. It's a fan favourite and a fun one to play..."

Van Poederooyen recently checked in from the studio with a status report on the next Devin Townsend Project album:

"It's go time!! Not far away from recording my 8th album for Dev. If you include live CD's this will be my 10th album in 14 years. What a ride it's been so far....

Here's a pic of my Sabian 20" HHX X-Plosion Crash. A big chunk of it went flying off during the fittingly named 'Vinnie Paul' part, off of one of the new DTP songs. Stick and cymbal shredding at its best. I'm extremely grateful for the endorsement I have with Sabian Cymbals. I play my cymbals until they break and then some in rehearsals. You can say I get the most out of them! In the end, Sabian treats me very well and always have new cymbals ready when I need them replaced. Grateful for their amazing support! As for the new DTP, it's pretty crushing in parts, very melodic in others with a few twists and turns. What else would you expect ? Stay posted..."

In early 2015, the Devin Townsend Project played an incredible sold-out show at London’s legendary Royal Albert Hall, bringing the story of Ziltoid to life on stage, as well as playing tracks from across his back catalogue. This larger-than-life evening was captured on film and was released on November 13th in Europe via Inside Out Music. Check out the 28+ minute clip of Townsend and the band performing three Ocean Machine classics at the show in the same order from the Biomech album; "Funeral", "Bastard" and "The Death Of Music".
