“DIMEBAG” DARRELL ABBOTT Featured In Previously Unseen DAMAGEPLAN Rehearsal Footage; Video Streaming

Rock photographer Chad Lee has uploaded previously unseen video footage of Damageplan (featuring late guitarist "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott) rehearsing the Pantera song, “Becoming”. The footage was filmed on October 23, 2004 at Chasin Jason Studios.

“Dimebag” Darrell Abbott, the legendary Pantera guitarist, was one of four people killed when a crazed gunman opened fire during a heavy metal show at Alrosa Villa nightclub in Columbus, Ohio on December 8th, 2004. Some witnesses said the gunman, 25-year-old Nathan Gale of Marysville, was upset over the breakup of Pantera. But police never verified those reports and the true motive will likely never be known. Jim Niggemeyer, a Columbus police officer, shot and killed Gale within seconds of entering the club.

Images at this location contain photos of the crime scene taken by police the night of the shooting, as well as security footage from inside Alrosa Villa. Viewer discretion advised.
