The book will add subplots, new characters, answer questions, and bring along some surprises, too," exclaims Dream Theater keyboardist Jordan Rudess. "We’re partnering with my good friend Peter Orullian, a very cool cat, who will write The Astonishing, which will come as a Limited Edition with lots of cool exclusives, including audio clips of songs we didn’t use on the album. Get the details here."

"I’m psyched to announce that The Astonishing is now being developed into a novel," adds Dream Theater guitarist John Petrucci. "The book will venture even deeper into the dystopian-future world of The Astonishing, adding characters, plot twists, and expanding on the original story. It will be written by noted sci-fi/fantasy author, Peter Orullian and will be initially issued as a Limited Edition with tons of cool exclusives, including audio clips of song ideas not used on the album. Check it out at this location."

Limited to 2500 copies and bound in leather, The Astonishing is expected to be published in Spring 2017.
