DRONE Changes Name To CELESTIAL SON; New Lasse Hoile-Directed Video For “Nothing In Excess” Streaming

Copenhagen, Denmark-based rockers Celestial Son (formerly Drone) will release their new album, Saturn’s Return, in September via Mighty Music, and in many ways the album will take the band to the next level.

Two videos are directed by the highly acclaimed director Lasse Hoile, who has made videos, artwork and live visuals for a long list of internationally prominent names like Dream Theater, Opeth, Porcupine Tree and Steven Wilson. Lasse Hoile will also be handling the albums visual appearance through pictures for cover and artwork (sample below).

Drone released the debut album Doors Of Perception in 2011 and that kick-started a lot of things for the band, living a year in Hamburg, Germany to take the band a step further to the international scene. The debut album received a lot of great reviews, but since another metal band with the same name threatened with a lawsuit and the word "Drone" is being used more and more in a context not suitable with a rock band, the band will from now on go under the new monicker Celestial Son.
