Drummer James Payne Leaves HOUR OF PENANCE, Joins VITAL REMAINS

US death metallers, Vital Remains, have successfully recruited James Payne from Italy's Hour Of Penance as their new drummer.

Tony Lazar, guitarist and founding member of Vital Remains had this to say via Facebook: "I'm happy to announce our new drummer James Payne from the band Hour Of Penance! He will be joining us in January 2015 to work on new material for our new album. We feel that James brings the speed, brutality, control, endurance and good technique playing that VR warrants. We look forward to working with him soon!  Fans can expect to see us in South America/North America, starting spring of 2015."

James Payne added: "I am more than honored to join Vital Remains! It has been a long way for me to get here, and taking the place of awesome drummers that have been part of this band in the past is a big thing, and it'll be my responsability to keep the level as high as it has always been for this band. Can't wait to contribute with my drumming in the new album and to destroy stages all over the world with them!"
