TorontoSun.com report that a fight between three concertgoers at a sold-out Eagles Of Death Metal show in Toronto over the weekend ended with someone biting a man’s ear off, according to Toronto Police. Officers were called to the Opera House (Queen St. E.) around 12:15 AM, Sunday and a man was taken into custody.
“One was accidentally bumped by the other and got into a verbal fight that escalated,” Const. Caroline de Kloet said Monday. “The other man intervened to break them up, and at that point, there was an aggravated assault... part of his ear was bitten.”
The victim with the bitten-off ear was taken to hospital, she said.
The brawl took place towards the back of the bar, according to Athena Ellinas-Towers, the Opera House facilities general manager, and security personnel caught a suspect. The show didn’t stop while the fight took place.
