EVERGREY Frontman TOM ENGLUND Requests / Suggests Piano Cover Of "Distance" From VIKRAM SHANKAR.... And Gets One (Video)

Composer Vikram Shankar has checked in with the following update:
"Back in May, I recorded a one-minute 'mini cover' of 'Distance' by the mighty Evergrey. I'm proud to present this full piano arrangement of 'Distance', recorded at the request (ahem.. suggestion?) of Evergrey mastermind Tom Englund himself. It was a lot of fun journeying into the dark, intense, and beautiful universe of this song."
"Distance" is taken from Everygrey's 2016 album The Storm Within.
During a recent conversation with Shankar, BraveWords issued a challenge that he gladly accepted. Details will be revealed in the coming weeks.

Vikram Shankar: "A few months ago, a few friends and I road-tripped to see Amaranthe on their Maximalism tour. The morning after we got home, I sat down at the piano and spontaneously created this bluesy/jazzy rendition of 'That Song'. They persuaded me to turn it into a full, properly recorded arrangement, which I was totally into, but never had the time to do.. until now! So, I'm happy to present my full arrangement of Amaranthe's ear-wormy ear-worm "That Song." Hope you guys dig..."
