EXMORTUS Frontman CONAN Debuts Classical Cover Project

Following an extensive year of non-stop touring in support of their new release Ride Forth, Los Angeles neoclassical shred outfit Exmortus have just completed an immensely successful winter jaunt across North America alongside Children Of Bodom, Abbatth and Oni. The group will stop by The Warehouse in El Paso, Texas on December 22nd for a final headlining show before heading home for the holidays.

While not busy out on the road with acts including Amon Amarth, Marty Friedman, Enforcer, Warbringer, Entombed A.D., Holy Grail and Cauldron - just to name a few, vocalist/guitarist Conan took time to begin a new solo project, Conan's Conquest, which features his own take on popular classical songs. Just in time for the holiday season, he recorded his take on the famous Russian composer Tchaikovsky's  eight track ensemble, "The Nutcracker Suite" with Allen Falcon at Birdcage Studios.

Conan stated, "I've been wanting to record this masterpiece for quite some time now and it's finally complete and I'm very proud of the work! Enjoy this rendition of your favorite tunes this Christmas / Yule or any other time of the year!"

The Nutcracker Suite tracklisting:

"Overture"
"March"
"Dance Of The Sugarplum Fairy"
"Russian Dance"
"Arabian Dance"
"Chinese Dance"
"Dance Of The Reed Flutes"
"Waltz Of The Flowers"

Check out an excerpt of Conan performing a section of "March" in the video clip below. The full suite is available for download and/or streaming at BandCamp, Amazon, and Google Play.
