EYEHATEGOD Forced To Cancel September Shows
September 8, 2015, 9 years ago
New Orleans' road hounds, Eyehategod, has been forced to cancel their recently announced September performances.
Said the band in an official statement, "Due to an unfortunate turn of events, Eyehategod has sadly been forced to postpone their four show September run this week. Many apologies to everyone with plans to see the band. Eyehategod promises to make up these gigs ASAP. Housecore Horror Fest is still on the schedule for November and we are looking extremely forward to that."
Eyehategod continues to damage speakers in support of their self-titled LP which inundated the masses in 2014, breaking the band's decade-and-a-half gap since their prior full-length and marking the most successful release in the band's twenty-five-year lineage. Having helped define the NOLA metal sound with their signature down-tuned, blues-inflected guitars awash in furious distortion, underpinning the tormented screams of Mike IX Williams over a thundering rhythm section, Eyehategod re-emerged stronger and more determined than ever before. Eyehategod personifies desperation and addiction in the various backwaters of forgotten America, punctuated by the "N'awlins" resonance of rebellion and pollution resulting in triumph over adversity.
