Former BLACK FLAG Bassist KIRA ROESSLER Wins Oscar For Best Sound Editing For Mad Max: Fury Road

According to FactMag.com, Kira Roessler, one half of the duo Dos with Mike Watt and a former member of Black Flag, has won an Oscar for Best Sound Editing for the movie Mad Max: Fury Road. Roessler, who studied engineering at UCLA while she was a member of Black Flag, is also a dialogue editor who has worked on movies like Twilight: New Moon and the television show John Adams, for which she won an Emmy.
Roessler was a member of Black Flag from 1983 - 1985. She recorded four albums with the band:

Loose Nut (1985)
