An Eastbourne property once owned by Led Zeppelin manager Peter Grant has been completely refurbished and extended in to a contemporary and state-of-the art home and is on the market with a £1million price tag, reports Eastbourne Herald.
The sale of Ilex End in Upper Carlisle Road marks the end of a two year project by the current owner who has worked alongside renowned architect and designer Martin Swatton, who was behind transforming a once ordinary 1980s bungalow in to a new home for Rathfinny’s Vineyard manager and his family in Alfriston.
Ilex End started life in the 1950s as a double garage with a flat above and served as the chauffeur’s accommodation for the large house next door. In the mid 1970s it was extended to provide a family home.
Led Zep manager Peter Grant owned the property for many years and it remained in the family after his death until 2013.
