Former LIZZY BORDEN / METAL CHURCH Guitarist IRA BLACK Joins WESTFIELD MASSACRE
April 14, 2016, 8 years ago
Westfield Massacre, featuring Tommy Vext (ex-Divine Heresy, Snot) on vocals, has announced that Ira Black (ex-Lizzy Borden, Metal Church) has joined the band as their permanent lead guitarist.
Says the band: “Black is known for his powerful, heavy and melodic riffs and as one of metal's best-known guitar shredders!”
Westfield Massacre is an all out brazen assault of unrelenting metallic fury, all backed with some of the most catchy and infectious choruses you will ever hear. If you took Five Finger Death Punch and put them in a blender with classic Pantera and Lamb Of God, then you would have Westfield Massacre.
The band’s self-titled debut offering will arrive April 29th via Urban Yeti Records. The video below for the track “Build Your Thrones” was directed by the renowned Stephen Steelman of Brigantine Films and perfectly captures the band’s live performance ferocity mixed with an eye-popping storyline that will quickly suck you in.
Catch Westfield Massacre at the Whisky A Go-Go in West Hollywood, CA on April 14, at Ultimate Jam Night on April 19th and on tour this spring, starting April 26th nationwide on the Sevendust/Trivium tour, and at select venues and festivals.
