According to WSAZ in West Virginia, former Pyrexia singer Erick Shute has been involved in a triple homicide after a shooting reportedly over firewood.
The shooting happened at Valley High Timber Farm in Great Cacapon in Morgan County, West Virginia about 4:45 p.m. Monday.
Deputies responded after reports of an active shooter on the scene. When they got there, they say the shooter had fled, but three men were found dead from gunshot wounds.
Shute, formerly of New Jersey, is reportedly known to New Jersey authorities. Investigators say he was in the middle of a controversy in 2009, where they say he hung a flag upside down as a "signal of distress" for America. They say he claimed the government was corrupt. And in 2011, he was indicted by a grand jury in New Jersey on charged of attacking a police officer and resisting arrest.

Pyrexia writes on their Facebook page: “As we watch this event unfold , we are shocked and saddened to learn that our former singer Erick has been involved in what seems to be a shooting by his own hands. Although all the details have yet to unravel, and he hasn't been an active member of Pyrexia for some time now , we have been rocked by this horrible news. There's no question the man had obscure views and was an odd and quiet person at times , but you try and accept a persons shortcomings or different viewpoints. No one saw this in him.”
