After months of anticipation, Chilean songstress Laura Vargas (ex-Sacramento) has revealed the artwork for her upcoming solo debut. A new video preview can also be found below.
Co-written with Gabriel Hidalgo, the music mixes classic metal and rock facets to create something heavy, yet instantly listenable. Vargas’ powerful vocals range from a dangerous, clean alto to guttural growls, all layered with rich harmonies. Lyrically versatile as well, she composed in both English and her native Spanish for the daring track “Conciencia”.
Vargas has gathered some impressive guests who appear on the CD; Paula Barouh from Barouh, Roland B. Marx from The Outside, and Claudio Carrasco from Poema Arcanus.
Two unsettling video teasers, which set the stage for this concept album, as well as a sneak audio peek at “The Awakening”, gives fans even more insight into the world of The Inferno Doll.
Vargas describes the music in her own words: “This is something that will take you to another world, and sometimes you won't know which character is talking... me, her? or both! If I could to put this is into two words, I'd describe it as Inferno Metal.”
