France’s NIGHTMARE Announce Lineup Changes; New Plans

Vocalist Jo and his brother David Amore (drums) have just left French heavy metal pioneers Nightmare. Therefore, the remaining members Yves Campion (bass), Franck Milleliri (guitar) und Matt Asselberghs (guitar) decided to change plans and not continue to work on the band’s planned project of re-recording songs from their first two albums. Instead, Nightmare will search for new members to replace Jo and David, to start working on a studio album will all brand new material (to be released in the second half of 2016) soon.

See the full statement here:

“It's with deep sadness that we have to announce the departure from the band of Jo and David... We respect their choice and wish them all the best in their current and future musical adventures. We will never forget what we have accomplished together starting in the early ‘80s, and it will remain forever engraved in our hearts and memories... The answer to the question that everyone asks: ‘Did the band split?’ is: NO, the band is still alive!!! We are well aware of the huge challenge that we have to face now, and there will inevitably be a change of identity... Naturally, the re-recording of the first two albums originally planned to be released early 2016, without Jo and David has no meaning and no interest at all anymore, and we are forced to stop this project!

“We are very sorry and we send our apologies to all the fans who wanted to see us live in Belgium at the Kraken Fest on November 7th 2015. (a big thank to you Nadia!)... and we promise that we will return in Belgium in 2016! We want to thank our record company for their huge support in these difficult moments, and all the fans who support us and who want this adventure to continue... The new album is still expected for the second half of 2016 and we will give you more news very soon… Stay connected!”
