January 13, 2015, 9 years ago
Jackson, TN natives, Full Devil Jacket, have signed a worldwide deal with eOne Music with plans on releasing a brand new LP later this year.
"We are honored to be working with eOne Music and being a part of their great roster of bands," says vocalist Josh Brown. "We set out on a journey to make some new kick ass rock ‘n’ roll and are very excited to get this music into the hands of all our fans around the world.”
The band is widely known for their EP titled A Wax Boy…, and their self-titled album Full Devil Jacket which have combined sales of 500K albums. During that time the band earned their stripes on the road with the likes of Nickelback, Type O Negative, Creed with a performance at Woodstock 99 and were featured on tours with Slipknot, Slayer, Mudvayne and Sepultura.
Some notable hits include; “Now You Know” and “Where Did You Go?” which both climbed the Mainstream Rock Charts. Meanwhile, tracks “Wanna' Be Martyr” and “Green Iron Fist” were featured on the motion picture soundtracks for Scream 3 and Heavy Metal 2000.
On tour, Josh Brown nearly died of a heroin overdose. While recovering in rehab and working on their second album, he had a spiritual awakening and left the band.
After several years, Brown re-entered the music scene with his new project, Day Of Fire. Their self-titled debut won a Dove Award for ‘Rock Album Of The Year’ and was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best ‘Rock Gospel Album.’ Day Of Fire went on to release two additional albums and in 2010, announced they would be taking an indefinite hiatus.
Full Devil Jacket is back with a new album, new label and a new outlook.
Brown concludes, “From the high’s and low’s of relationships, to the evils in the world we live in today. I think everyone can relate to this new album - it’s got it all.”
