Guitar legend George Lynch recently spoke with Ultimate Guitar about the new Sweet & Lynch album, Unified, also featuring Stryper vocalist Michael Sweet:

"I toned down my gain a lot. Every year I get less gainy and really shooting for more of a pure, classic guitar tone as I get older and the solo in title track of upcoming Sweet & Lynch album 'Unified' is an example of that. I'm probably using on old Plexi Marshall with not much in front of it using a Strat or a Telly. 'Unified' is an attempt to do something that's in the '80s sense very commercial and very anthemic and sing along and almost in the Tom Petty vein. I guess you would consider it more in the classic vein."
