A new episode of Talking Metal is up with Damon Johnson of Black Star Riders and Thin Lizzy. Johnson talks about his new EP Echo, upcoming Thin Lizzy dates, and status of the new Black Star Riders album.
Johnson says him and Ricky Warwick have 12 songs ready to go for the next BSR album and should have 20 tracks total to pick from.
Interview with Johnson starts at the 13 minute mark:
For the first time in his nearly three decade career, Damon Johnson (Brother Cane, Slave To The System, Alice Cooper, Black Star Riders) releases fully realized electric music under his own name as a solo artist.
Released on March 18th, Echo features five stellar tracks of powerful rock and roll that will further cement Damon's reputation as a quality guitarist, singer, and songwriter. The songs were recorded over various sessions throughout 2015 and feature the skills of drummer Jarred Pope and bassist Tony Nagy.
Echo was produced and mixed by Nick Raskulinecz (Alice In Chains, Rush, Foo Fighters, Black Star Riders) at Rock Falcon Studio in Nashville, TN. Autographed physical CDs are now available for order here; those who partake may request to have it personalized (simply add a note at checkout).
Echo tracklisting:
"Dead
"Nobody Usin’"
"The Waiting Kills Me"
"Scars"
"Just Move On"
