Two years ago, Canadian rockers Headstones utilized PledgeMusic to ask their fans, "Do you want a new record?" The response was staggering and swift as funding was achieved within 24 hours. By April of the next year, Headstones had the #1 single with "Long Way To Neverland", and Love + Fury was a top ten album with international distribution in place, now nominated for a Juno Award.

"We love the PledgeMusic experience," admit Headstones. "It enables us to create new music and continue to have direct contact with our fans."

The band has been working on a the follow-up to Love + Fury and have checked in with the following update:

"Officially finished the new CD, now we mix. It's gonna be an old school gunslinger saloon record by the sounds of it."

Following is the Headstones'original statement issued going in to do the new album:

"One of the exclusives that you were able to purchase along with your pledge was a private acoustic show for 20 of your closest friends. That acoustic show was an incredible experience. It let us explore our back catalogue and rethink how we could perform and revisit older hits and overlooked deep cuts, or forgotten songs. The acoustic show would not have happened without the support of those fans getting involved through PledgeMusic. Here's the deal. We are prepared to head back to the studio for Headstones: New & Revised. It will be a couple new tunes, together with songs from our catalogue, rethought, revisited and revised with acoustic guitars, violins, upright basses, mandolins, pianos, and even glockenspiels. Yes glockenspiels. Google it. So let's do it again... we want your suggestions, so get ready, and prepare for Headstones: New & Revised."
