BraveWords reached out to longtime pal James Rivera, to see how the Helstar singer (along with guitarist Larry Barragan and former bassist Jerry Abarca) fared in Hurricane Harvey, the band based in the devastated Houston area.
The "Mexican Dio" replied, "We are all unaffected thank God! Just can't go anywhere. I feel like a little old man in a nursing home. Been in pyjamas since Friday! Oh well may as well get use to it. I'm not too far from that stage anyway."
Helstar recently released the video for “Awaken Unto Darkness”, a single from their Vampiro album, a continuation of their classic 1989 Metal Blade release, Nosferatu.
