ICED EARTH To Release Incorruptible Album In May; “It’s Really Gonna Be Something Special… There’s Something Going On Here,” Says JON SCHAFFER; Video

Metal Wani’s Fernando Bonenfant had a chat with Iced Earth guitarist/mastermind Jon Schaffer in London, England at Electric Brixton.

In the video interview below he discusses the ongoing MTV Headbangers Ball tour with Kataklysm, Ensiferum and Unearth, fan response to the tour, departure of longtime guitarist Troy Steele and how the new guitarist Jake Dreyer adds his own personality to Iced Earth sound.

He also talks about the upcoming album, Incorruptible, which earlier had the working title The Judas Goat, primed for release in May 2017 via Century Media, delay in the album due to construction of Iced Earth HQ, tracking songs in January 2017. He also talks about how Incorruptible is one of the very special records of Iced Earth’s career and reveals many song titles from the upcoming record.

He throws light on working relationship with Stu Block, repeated lineup changes and how he adapts to every change, how the new record reflects the 32 years of dedication to heavy metal and plans to tour North America and Europe next year.
