IMPALERS Cover MOTÖRHEAD Classic “The Hammer” In New Video

Danish thrashers Impalers have just released a new music video from their upcoming EP release, Prepare For War, due out on on November the 28th.

“The Hammer” is a cover of the Motörhead classic from 1980’s Ace Of Spade. “The Hammer” is one of two cover songs to appear on the EP, which will also feature two brand new songs.

Prepare For War, the follow-up to last year’s debut album Power Behind The Throne, was recorded at Death Island Studios with Marco Angioni and is mixed and mastered by Søren Jensen.

Frontman Søren Crawack comments on doing a EP and covering “The Hammer”: “The EP was something different, something fun to do. A side-project in the studio, if you will. At first, we wanted to make a digital single for one of the songs, but soon we started adding the extra stuff, and we decided to make it an EP with a physical release and everything. The Hammer was chosen as a cover because we’re all immense Motörhead fans, and wanted to do one of theirs. We thought about doing Bomber, Iron Fist and we had previously covered Orgasmatron live, but for this we wanted something equally awesome, yet less covered by other bands. The Hammer was an obvious choice.”

Prepare For War artwork by Mario Lopez (Ancient Dome, Game Over, Bloodrocuted).
