IRON MAIDEN Singer BRUCE DICKINSON - “In Order For A Fan To Have A Commitment Over A Period Of Years The Band Has To Offer Up Something That Is Far More Than Just Temporarily Cool”

Iron Maiden singer Bruce Dickinson spoke with The Sydney Morning Herald ahead of the Aussie leg of The Book Of Souls tour. About the band’s ongoing success that spans the globe he says that: “People often fail to understand what it is that fans are actually looking for. They look for an ongoing story, quality musicianship, respect from the band to the audience and vice-versa, and something with real longevity that they can invest time and money in. In order for a fan to have a commitment over a period of years the band has to offer up something that is far more than just temporarily cool. You have to build a mythology, so there's a whole story to be discovered with layer upon layer upon layer."
